BYRON, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – A man was flown to a hospital after a crash over the weekend in Monroe County. According to the Sheriff’s Office, just before 9 a.m. Sunday authorities received a call that a vehicle crashed on State Highway 21 in the town of Byron.

The man was identified as 49-year-old Craig Hansen of Necedah. They say he left the roadway and struck a tree, which trapped Hansen in the vehicle. Hansen was removed from the vehicle and flown to a hospital.
