TOMAH, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – One person is dead after a fire at a Tomah motel Tuesday morning. The Tomah Fire Chief says around 9:45 yesterday morning, crews responded to a fire at the Daybreak Motel in Tomah.
A man was still inside and smoke could be seen coming from the building. First Responders were able to remove the man from the building and began life-saving measures, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
No one else was in the motel when the fire started. The cause of the fire is under investigation, as is the man’s cause of death. The name of the deceased is pending due to notification of the family.
