Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – Those who only experience mild symptoms of COVID-19, are normally able to recover at home. Still, those symptoms can last weeks or even months.
Oakleaf Clinic has recommended daily supplements such as vitamin C, D, and zinc daily, and even eating cold foods to help relieve symptoms.
HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital ER Doctor Ken Johnson says he recommends doing the same things you’d do when recovering from the flu.
“Make sure you’re getting plenty of sleep, making sure you’re getting plenty of fluids, staying hydrated, making sure that you are active to the degree that you can base on your symptoms, certainly deep breaths and cough while you’re awake are all reasonable things that would help,” said Johnson.
Dr. Johnson also recommends acquiring a pulse oximeter. If your saturation drops below 92 percent, he says you may need to seek medical attention.
