EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – Communities all across the state are competing in a new fitness challenge.

Right now, there are 40 communities across Wisconsin taking part including Eau Claire.

To take part, just start tracking your active minutes. From any activity that you enjoy doing, including walking, biking, running, and yoga.

Then log those minutes on a form every Monday.

The goal is to get the most collective “active minutes” as a community.

Right now, there are about 30 people registered in Eau Claire, but they need more people to get involved.

Julie Booth of Parks and Rec said, “It seems like springtime always gets people out and going and excited. Even though we love our winters here in Wisconsin but we also like the change of climate so we are just adding to that excitement just get everybody out, everybody together, and just see the community.”

This challenge runs all the way through the end of the month, there is still time to register until March 14. Just keep track of your active minutes from the start of March.
