LA CROSSE, Wisc. (WEAU/WLAX) — Rotary Lights have returned to La Crosse for another Christmas season. The event started 27 years ago as a lighting project for the city.

The Rotary Club has purchased more than 4 million lights for the annual event. With so many installations and activities, it takes a group of volunteers over four weeks to set up.

The lights will stay on through Dec. 31. Non-perishable food items and monetary donations will be accepted.
