Car passenger with life-threatening injuries, failing to yield for school bus

CHIPPEWA COUNTY, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – New information today from the Chippewa County sheriff’s office about Friday’s school bus crash that seriously injured two.

Investigators say the car driver failed to yield for a Stanley-Boyd school bus

As a result, the bus struck the vehicle’s passenger side.

According to the sheriff’s office, the passenger in the car was taken by helicopter to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver had serious injuries and was taken to a hospital by ambulance.

None of the 26 people on board the bus were hurt in the crash.
