Seven Mile Creek Landfill Siting Committee meets to talk about landfill concerns

Local News

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – There’s still no movement between the new owners of the seven-mile creek landfill and the group responsible for negotiating on behalf of the community.

The landfill siting committee met today.

Once again, members of the seven-mile creek neighborhood association used the public comment part of the meeting to express their concerns.

Seven-mile creek landfill was purchased by Green for Life in November of 2020.

GFL is hoping to expand the landfill’s capacity.

Members of the association say they’re not being heard– but an attorney for the siting committee says negotiations are ongoing.
