Severe storms cause widespread damage in Wisconsin, Minnesota

HUDSON, Wisc. (WLAX) — A line of severe storms ripped through Minnesota and Hudson, Wisc. Wind gusts reached 64 MPH.

The Hudson library has major damage with its lobby windows blown out. Glass, wood and other debris was left scattered outside the building.

Power crews worked Friday to restore power across the area.

The storms also caused significant tree damage and power outages in Burnsville, Minn.

Officials said a 4-year-old girl was killed in Mankato when a tree limb fell on her tent.
