State Senate approves budget, passed to Gov. Evers

Local News

Wisconsin State Senate narrowly approved the state budget. Two Republicans voted against the budget, but a last minute provision to allow electric car manufacturer, Tesla, to open dealerships in Wisconsin ensured the vote to pass 17-16 in favor.

The $81 billion two-year spending budget now goes to Democratic Governor Evers who has the ability to sign the bill into law, veto the bill completely, or use his partial veto powers to revise it.
