Suspect in Chippewa County shooting makes initial appearance

Local News

The suspect in a shots-fired case in Eau Claire last month made his initial appearance in Chippewa County court on Tuesday.

Kyle Baker,22, is facing three felony charges tied to an incident at a home in the 3300 block of Reno Drive on Eau Claire’s north side in Chippewa County.

In a complaint, a witness told Eau Claire police he was shot by Baker, during an argument. Officers later found a shell casing at the scene, matching a pistol tied to Baker.

Baker is being held on a $50,000 cash bond.

A preliminary hearing is set for June 10.
