CHIPPEWA VALLEY, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – After a year closed during the pandemic, The Chippewa Valley railroad is once again welcoming passengers all aboard.
Volunteers from the Chippewa Valley Railroad Association run two trains through a scenic route in Carson Park. It takes about 10 minutes to complete one pass.
Families, couples and people of just about all ages lined up for their chance to ride.
Dave Peterson, Chippewa Valley Railroad Association said, “I say big kids and little kids. You know, there’s plenty of adults that ride the train we run probably 50 percent adults. It’s often parents or grandparents with a grandchild or something and we get a lot of just couples that have no children riding the train”
If you want to take a ride, the trains will run every Sunday until Labor Day– including the fourth of July.
Pricing and hours of operation can be found online.
