CAMPBELL, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – The town of Campbell is suing the city of La Crosse and PFAs manufacturers for allegedly contaminating hundreds of private wells.
The lawsuits are being filed through law firm Singleton Schreiber.
A press release from the firm says two class action lawsuits in Wisconsin federal court are against corporations that allegedly made firefighting foam containing PFAs chemicals, which then contaminated the wells.
Two additional class action lawsuits are being filed against the city of La Crosse for allegedly using the PFAs-containing foam at the La Crosse Regional Airport on French Island.
Residents are seeking compensation for losses in property value among other damages, along with seeking compensation to establish an early detection program for illnesses related to PFAs.
