EAU CLAIRE Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – A trial is underway for an Eau Claire man accused of shooting and killing a teenager last year. Jury selection began yesterday for 28-year-old Austin Vang. He’s charged with first-degree reckless homicide in the death of 14-year-old Marwan Washington.

The criminal complaint says Vang told first responders he was messing around with his gun and forgot it was loaded when he shot Washington in the neck. His trial is scheduled to last through Friday.
