HUDSON, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – The St. Croix County Sheriff’s office is investigating after the bodies of two adult males were recovered from the St. Croix River. Officials say the St. Croix County Emergency Communication Center received a call of a fishing boat going in circles near Troy Beach around 9:30 a.m. A witness reported there was a body in the water near the boat.
Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies found the boat unoccupied. Members of the county dive team later found the body of an adult male a little after noon. Shortly before 6 p.m., the body of a second adult male was located and recovered. Release of the names is pending positive identification and family notifications.
