Two people were hurt after a van versus motorcycle crash Friday morning in the town of Greenwood.
According to the Vernon County Sheriff’s department, 31-year old Samantha Baly from Wonewoc was driving south on State Highway 80 and while turning into a private driveway, did not see two motorcycles traveling north.
Baly turned into the path of a motorcycle operated by 78-year old Stephen Cournia from Richland Center.
Cournia was unable to avoid colliding with Baly’s vehicle, the second motorcycle was operated by Bruce Gander of Lone Rock, he lost control and slid down the road.
Cournia suffered serious injuries and was flown to Gundersen Health System in La Crosse.
Gander was treated and released. Baly had 5 juveniles in her vehicle, none of them were injured.
The crash remains under investigation..
