JACKSON COUNTY, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – Two people are charged following a burglary in Jackson County.

Last week, the sheriff’s office there responded to a burglary in progress interrupted by a homeowner near Alma-Center.

Based on homeowner descriptions, the suspects were identified as 26-year-old Aaron Lowe and 33-year-old Jolene Lowe.

Deputies say the Lowes barricaded themselves inside a home on tower street and didn’t listen to orders from law enforcement officers.

After more than four hours of negotiations, chemical agents were used to get the Lowes to leave the home.

They were taken into custody.

Jolene Lowe faces 11 counts, and Aaron has 12 charges.
