Two Pierce County crashes result in injuries over the weekend

PIERCE COUNTY, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office says two separate crashes over the weekend resulted in two injuries.

Sunday morning, 36-year-old Robert Jeffery of spring valley was taken to the hospital after a one vehicle crash on highway 29 near spring valley. Deputies determined that Jeffery lost control of his pickup, went into the ditch and overturned several times.  He was ejected from the vehicle.

On Saturday evening, the sheriff’s office says 26-year-old Lauren Nelson of Prescott was taken to the hospital after a motorcycle crash.  They say she was traveling on Highway 10 near maiden rock and failed to see a slowing vehicle in front of her, tried to brake, and lost control.
