Viroqua man taken into custody after threatening highway workers while carrying a gun

VIROQUA, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – A Vernon County man is being charged with disorderly conduct with a dangerous weapon.

The sheriff’s office says 25-year-old Kaden d. Hartje of Viroqua threatened a road crew Tuesday morning with a pistol.

According to witnesses, Hartje came out of his house with the gun around 7 am upset that a dump truck had turned around in his driveway and at how early construction was being conducted.

He was taken into custody without incident shortly after and released on a 300-dollar signature bond.
