Eau Claire, WI- April 15, 2020 – Walk-ins are welcome to get vaccinated at the UWEC Zorn Arena COVID- 19 clinic beginning Friday, April 16th. Walk-in hours are Tuesday – Saturdays from 3:00 to 6:30pm.
Beginning April 29th, walk-in hours will start at 11 am. Appointments through vaccinate.wi.gov are still preferred and will guarantee that you get a vaccine. By accepting walk-ins, we hope it is easier for some people to get their vaccine.
“We encourage everyone that can get a vaccine to do so. The COVID-19 vaccine helps to prevent you from getting seriously sick from COVID-19. Protecting yourself also protects the people around you, like those at increased risk of severe illness from COVID-19 or those who can’t get vaccinated — like infants and young children,” says Lieske Giese, Director/Health Officer.
