FORT MCCOY, Wis. (WLAX/WEAU) – A Warrens man is facing charges after leading authorities on a vehicle chase.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office says Fort McCoy Police chased 42-year-old Michael Kingsley last Wednesday around 5:30 p.m. After he stopped, Kingsley ran off but a K9 tracked and located him hiding in a ravine. Authorities found large amounts of meth and marijuana in a search of his vehicle. He’s charged with 16 counts including a number of drug and bail jumping charges.
The sheriff’s office says since Kingsley was released from prison in March of 2021, he’s been booked into the Monroe County jail eight times on new charges. He’s now being held on a $50,000 cash bond.
