Authorities investigate Waupaca County shooting investigation

WAUPACA, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – Authorities are investigating a shooting in Waupaca County.

According to the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office the incident happened on the Little Wolf River.

Sheriff Timothy Wilz says one person was flown to a hospital for a gunshot wound to the head. He says the shooting happened after a fight broke out among a group of people who were on a tubing trip.

The shooter ran from the scene and has not been arrested. Deputies say the suspect could be in the green bay area.

Authorities are searching for a shooter and no one has been arrested yet.

The sheriff says the incident is not a homicide.
