Wisconsin democrats hold virtual events ahead of Trump visit

LA CROSSE/EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – While the Trump Campaign is on the ground here in Wisconsin, the Biden Campaign and the democrats held virtual events today. They talked about different topics but with the president in the state, the conversations largely focused on criticism of how the Trump Administration has handled those topics, including health care.

Democrats like Senator Tammy Baldwin say President Trump has spent more time fighting health care than finding solutions to those issues.

There was also a Biden-for-president veterans roundtable that focused on the impacts the Trump Administration’s executive orders have on veterans and the agencies, like the VA, that serve them, particularly as it pertains to unions.

Baldwin said, “If you’re waiting for President Trump to release his health care plan, he doesn’t have one. He doesn’t have one. Trump’s failure to confront this deadly pandemic has led to job loss, lives lost, and we cannot allow this to become the new normal.”

Airforce vet, Jacob, said, “When I heard from VA workers about what’s really happening to the VA employees, you know, I was really upset because their working conditions are being made more difficult. It’s harder for them to do their jobs because of these changes coming down from the Trump Administration, but that’s also impacting veterans’ health care.”
