VERNON COUNTY, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – A drug investigation resulted in the arrests of three people in Vernon County.

Authorities say the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office along with several other agencies worked together with the La Crosse Police Department concerning a drug trafficking investigation. As a result of the investigation, three people were arrested were on Monday, June 12, in rural Coon Valley, Wis. The three people are identified as Damien Reinsvold, Julia Lloyd, and Stanley Holte.

According to authorities, Lloyd is being held on a $500,000.00 cash bond, Holte is also being held on a $500,000.00 cash bond, and Resinsvold will be released on a $2,000.00 signature bond. All three are due back in Vernon County Circuit Court July 6, 2023, for initial appearances.

According to a media release from the City of La Crosse, Holte fled from officers when they attempted contact but was arrested and taken to the Vernon County Jail on the suspicion of OWI and possession of what authorities suspect to be about 2lbs. of methamphetamine found under the driver’s seat of his vehicle. The passenger, Damien Reinsvold, was also taken to Vernon County Jail on recommended charges related to possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Lloyd was taken into custody at her home. A search of the home uncovered what authorities suspect to be about 3lbs. of methamphetamine and over $49,000 cash related to drug distribution.

The City of La Crosse media release says Holte had been supplying drugs to the La Crosse, Vernon, Crawford, Monroe counties in Wis. and Houston County in Minn.

According to the City of La Crosse media release, over 5lbs. of suspected methamphetamine and 31.3 grams of suspected fentanyl were seized as part of this investigation. The media release says Holte was released from prison in early 2022 and has previous methamphetamine and resisting convictions.
