Wisconsin receives millions to help pay overdue utility bills

Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – Governor Tony Evers announced millions of dollars to help those who are behind on their utility bills.

The funding will help more than 39 thousand Wisconsinites.

In March, the Wisconsin Public Service Commission voted unanimously to allow the statewide moratorium on utility disconnections to expire on April 15.

This month Governor Evers signed a bill to fund the citizen’s utility board, which is intended to help lower utility costs in the state.
