BUFFALO COUNTY, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – Buffalo County Police Department are investigating a homicide, reported Sunday night.
According to the sheriff’s office, a man called dispatchers about 9 p.m. and said he had shot and killed a woman at a home near Nelson.
When deputies arrived, they found the body of an adult female. The caller was taken into custody. A teenager was also in the home but was unharmed.
In a statement, the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office did not identify any of the people involved, but say, the shooting was an isolated incident and the public is not at risk.
The Wisconsin Department of Justice is assisting in the investigation.
