The packers enter their bye week on a two-game losing streak…that largely has to do with the loss of Aaron Rodgers…with Brett Hundley starting at quarterback for the green and gold…the pack haven’t been able to get their passing game going…

Hundley made his first career NFL start on Sunday against the saints…despite having a whole week to practice with the first team offense, the 3rd year q-b was less than impressive…Hundley was just 12 for 25 passing with 87 yards through the air and an interception…while he cut down on his turnovers from the week before against the Vikings, Hundley was most effective on the ground rushing for 44 yards and a touchdown…green bay will need to address the passing game during their bye if they hope to turn things around…

“Use Aaron for example.  He started in ’08 and you guys were on his (bleep) until we won a Super Bowl.  Then once he wins a Super Bowl, now he’s got to play that way all the time. It’s just part of the deal here.  And he’s got to remember where he’s playing quarterback at, that’s real, that’s a reality.  That’s our focus.  I feel the same way today as I did going into the week.  I know this young man, I believe in him.  That’s the direction we are going.”

“The coaches did a great job of preparing us for this game, and my biggest thing is I didn’t play as well as I wanted to. Especially, I don’t care if I throw for 10 yards or 500, if we don’t win the game it doesn’t matter. So, I obviously didn’t play good enough today.”

It might be the bye week for the packers, but that won’t stop the 2nd-place team in the NFC north from making roster moves…

Today the team announced they signed wide receiver max McCafferty to the practice squad…McCafferty played 5 games with the jaguars this season and was with the packers during training camp…

The more notable roster change was that offensive lineman Don Barclay has been released…Barclay had been on injured reserve since September after suffering a preseason ankle injury…he started 27 games out of 70 played for the green and gold between the regular and postseason with the pack…Barclay was signed as an undrafted free agent in 2012…
