The man accused of shooting his roommate with a bow and arrow and slitting his throat with a knife appeared in Dunn County Court.
Richard Seehaver appeared in court on Monday for a preliminary hearing but it was rescheduled due to the defense raising concerns over Seehaver’s competency.
According to the criminal complaint, police were called to the home of Seehaver on December 30 where officers say they found Seehaver’s roommate, John Likeness, dead in a recliner.
The complaint says Seehaver spoke about alien beings and “not being the devil.”
Seehaver was charged with first-degree intentional homicide and is due back in court in February.
