Man Arrested After High Speed Chase Across County Lines Enters Pleas

News

A man from Black River Falls arrested after a high speed chase across county lines is ordered to serve two years of probation.

Tuesday, 33-year-old Corey Sprinkle entered no contest pleas in Chippewa County to fleeing an officer and possession of narcotics.

Two other charges were dismissed but read in.

According to a criminal complaint, a chase in July took Lake Hallie Police Officers on to Highway 53 and then I-94 into Eau Claire County.

Authorities say Sprinkle’s vehicle crashed, and that’s when he was taken into custody.

The complaint says Sprinkle admitted to using meth and heroin earlier in the day.
