Menomonie Woman Arrested for OWI with Minor in Car

A Menomonie woman was arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence with a child in the vehicle under the age of 16.

Kristy Ann Decker, 37, was arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol after a traffic stop for speeding on STH 29 near the Red Cedar River in Menomonie.

After the vehicle was stopped, the Trooper noticed the passenger and driver switch seats. The driver at the time of the speeding violation was a minor with an instruction permit.

But after approaching the vehicle, it was still running and Decker was now in the driver’s seat. The Trooper noticed Decker showing signs of impairment and a strong odor of intoxicants.

Decker was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated 1st offense with a minor passenger under 16 years old.
