We have new details regarding DNR citations filed against Bloomer police chief, Jared Zwiefelhofer.
A DNR report says Zwiefelhofer admitted he shot a buck three to four times with an AR-15 rifle during bow hunting season.
He also admitted he places bait near his tree stand with a UTV and carries a loaded gun on the UTV when he does this.
The report says based on these admissions, the warden decided to pursue civil charges.
Zwiefelhofer pleaded no contest and was found guilty on all charges.
Zwiefelhofer is also the Chippewa county board chair.
Last week he said in a letter that he will step down from the position next month.
