A local Boy Scout Troop held a breakfast fundraiser Sunday morning – expecting to serve around 150 people.
Troop 13 out of Chippewa Falls hosted the pancake breakfast at Holy Ghost Parish.
The event also included a food drive.
All the food collected will be donated to the Notre Dame Church Food Pantry in Chippewa Falls.
The free-will donation breakfast hopes to raise around $1,000, which goes back to support troop members.
“We make money to pay for our activities like summer camp, and we’re going to Sea Base, which is in Florida in a couple years,” said Troop 13 member Adam Nardin.
Sea Base is a high adventure camp run by the Boy Scouts of America in the Florida Keys.
If you’re interested in learning more about Boy Scouts, Troop 13 is hosting an open house Monday, February 4 at 6:30 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church in Chippewa Falls.
It’s open to boys and girls who are in fifth grade an older.
