Professional Wardrobes Provided to Student Through UW-Eau Claire Campus Closet

A new resource on the UW-Eau Claire campus is helping students with the expenses of buying a new professional wardrobe.

The campus closet is now open every Tuesday and Thursday from 3-5 p.m. for students to have access to gently used professional clothes for free.

All of the clothes at the campus closet are from community donations to help the college students in need. After collecting donations this summer, the campus closet officially opened earlier this week.

“There were all kinds of students milling around and they were looking for things, there is a career conference next week so I think they were maybe trying to pick up some pieces,” said Julie Carr the administrative supervisor for the campus closet. “We had several students walk out with clothing on Tuesday which was a really good feeling, so we are off to a great start.”

The campus closet does not accept casual clothing, only wardrobes fit for a professional job interview.

For more information on how to donate you can contact Julie Carr through the Dean of Students Office, emailing at or calling at 715-836-5992.
