A woman is accused of her third drunken driving offense and this time sheriff’s officials say she was behind the wheel of a stolen squad car.
According to the Juneau county sheriff’s department, on Saturday around 4:30 in the morning, a deputy and a state trooper were dealing with an intoxicated man and woman at a BP station in Lyndon station.
The woman, 29-year-old Sara Windom of Baraboo, left the store and when the deputy looked outside, he saw his patrol squad car was missing.
A witness told the deputy Windom gotten in the squad car and headed east on the interstate.
The deputy and trooper caught up with the car.
Windom was arrested and taken to the Juneau County jail.
