The court has picked a jury in the case against a man accused of stabbing and killing his ex-girlfriend’s father.
Jury selection in the trial for 27-year-old Thomas Martin of Ladysmith started this morning and ended late this afternoon.
He’s charged with first-degree intentional homicide.
A criminal complaint shows officers responded to a report of a fight at an apartment in Ladysmith in April 2016.
Investigators found Richard Larson lying on the floor with a stab wound.
The complaint goes on to say Larson told an officer at the scene martin was attacking his daughter.
Larson died at the hospital.
The complaint says Martin was at the apartment, and admitted to the stabbing.
The trial is scheduled to continue tomorrow.
