UW-Stout Chancellor to Retire

News

UW-Stout in Menomonie will soon have a new person in charge as chancellor Bob Meyer announced his retirement Monday.

In a statement out Monday, the 62-year-old Meyer says it was a time for him and his wife “to enter a new phase in our lives.”

Meyer became chancellor in 2014. He, his wife and one of his daughters are also graduates of UW-Stout.

The statement said the UW System will start a search for his replacement this August and that an interim chancellor will be named to lead the campus throughout much of the 2019-20 academic year.
