Governor Scott Walker will be in western Wisconsin tomorrow as ground is broken on a brand new hotel in Chippewa Falls. In October it was first announced a four story hotel would move in at the site of the former Plaza building, which was torn down last spring.
Tomorrow work will officially start on the 5.5 million dollar Cobblestone Hotel and Suites project. Over the past few years Chippewa Falls has put more of a focus on its gateway to the city, adding a round-a-bout and several new buildings including a visitor’s center. Governor Walker will be there for the groundbreaking ceremony at 11am.
