EAU CLAIRE Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – Blood banks across Wisconsin are running low as donations across the state are dropping this summer. To help with the shortage, the Knights of Columbus service organization is hosting a blood drive today.

The blood drive is scheduled from 1 to 6 pm today at the John F. Kennedy Hall on Thomas Drive in Eau Claire. A representative from the American Red Cross says that in June, there was a 12 percent decline in blood donations. Members of the Knights of Columbus say people of all blood types are encouraged to attend.
