EAU CLAIRE Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – After a weekend full of activities bringing community members back in time, this year’s Pioneer Days wrapped up. It’s hosted by the Chippewa Valley Antique Engine and Model Club.

The final day of event’s included raffles, RV races and a garden tractor pull. Visitors also got the chance to see a phoenix log hauler brought in for the show. One of the organizers says people from all walks of life came out this weekend.

“It brings the families together. We’re family. You’ll see kids around here that are one, two, three, four years old. You’ll see some men walking around here that 80 or 90 years old and older. So, what it is, it covers all ages.”

Pioneer Days happens every year during the second weekend of August. With the city of Eau Claire turning 150, part of this year’s event also celebrated this milestone.
