PEPIN COUNTY Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – An Arkansaw, Wisconsin man is arrested after deputies say he led them on both a vehicle and foot chase around the Durand area yesterday. The Pepin County Sheriff’s Office says during the pursuit, Shawn Bauer intentionally hit one of its squad cars with his truck two different times causing significant damage to the vehicle.

Eventually. Bauer stopped his truck, got out, and started running. After an attempt to tase Bauer failed to stop him, he got back into his truck and drove away. For community safety, deputies did not chase him again.

Later, they found Bauer at his home where they say he barricaded himself and refused to leave. Bauer did eventually leave his home. The sheriff’s office says no one was hurt. Bauer could face multiple charges like reckless driving endangering safety.
