SOMERSET Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – We’re learning more details about the victims and suspect involved in Saturday’s stabbing in Somerset. A 17-year-old boy was killed, and four others were hurt in a string of stabbings on the Apple River.

The victims were tubing when the incident happened. The St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office says the teen who died is from Stillwater, Minnesota.

Two men from Luck Wisconsin, one woman from Burnsville, Minnesota, and a man from Elk River, Minnesota were hurt. Their ages range from 20 to 24.

The sheriff’s office says a 52-year-old man from Prior Lake, Minnesota is the suspect in the stabbings. He is being held at the St. Croix County jail. Both the victims and the suspect have not been named. The sheriff’s office expects formal charges to be filed tomorrow.
