Wisconsin Sport Show Attracts Outdoor Enthusiasts

Everything outdoors filled the Chippewa Valley Expo Center this weekend as part of the Wisconsin Sport Show.

Sunday was the final day of the three-day event, which included displays and demonstrations.

More than 150 exhibitors showcased items for hunting, fishing, and family recreation.

This is the 10th anniversary of the Wisconsin Sport Show, and organizers say Saturday’s attendance was the largest turnout ever.

Promotions Coordinator Kris Cooper says the event is about education and excitement for what’s to come.

“A lot of people have been trapped inside for the majority of the last three months with the winter we just had. It’s great to get a chance to get out, and get you in the mood for spring,” said Cooper.

The sport show also included a petting zoo for children.

A portion of proceeds from the event will be donated to the Eau Claire County Humane Association.
