RIVER FALLS Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – A death investigation is underway in River Falls. The River Falls Police Department says shortly after midnight, law enforcement responded to a report of an unconscious person in the northern part of the city.
Officers found a 47-year-old woman who had died from an apparent gunshot wound. The department says there is currently no threat to the community. Due to an active investigation, limited information is being released at this time.
