Leading up to International Women’s Day, FOX 25/48 & WIProud highlighted four local women who inspire, lead and forge the way for other women.
On Friday, the four women were honored at a luncheon in Eau Claire, where one woman was announced as the local winner.
Dr. Jenifer Bassett was honored as the winner. In 2013 Dr. Bassett donated her Kidney to a girl in stage 4 kidney failure.
As the local winner, Dr. Bassett will travel to New York City to take part in a celebration with the other Remarkable Women winners from other Nexstar Broadcasting markets. The winners will take part in a taping of the Mel Robbins Show and a national Remarkable Women winner will be announced.
