Dr. Jenifer Bassett nominated by Susan Burr Kewin. These are her words.
Dr. Jenifer Bassett is a remarkable woman. She is a great physician and is a caring human being. She was my daughter Sabrina Burr’s primary care physician. When she found out that my daughter had stage 4 kidney failure she took it upon herself to get tested to be a donor. She was a good match and called one evening and offered to be a live donor. She not only gave my daughter a kidney, but also offered to give her part of her pancreas to cure the Type I diabetes that caused the kidney failure. She selflessly took off work and away from her family to donate a kidney and part of her pancreas to my daughter, which saved her life and got her off dialysis. She still continues to be a caring, selfless person and has helped others in need.Susan Burr Kewin, on Dr. Jenifer Bassett
