Week 11 Waiver Wire Insider

Week 10 is in the books and we’re onto Week 11. We’re officially at the point in the season where some teams might be out of contention. Hopefully your league has a nice consolation prize but let’s be honest, if you’ve been reading this article then you’re still in the hunt. Let’s see what we can do in Week 11 to help you in your championship hunt!

A reminder on how this works… For this feature, I will be focusing exclusively on players rostered in less than 50% of both ESPN and Yahoo leagues.

If your league has a standard waiver system, then simply follow the order of my picks to determine your waiver priority. If your league has a FAAB system, I will assign each waiver pick a % of your FAAB budget I would be comfortable committing. You may see some repeat names from previous weeks, that would be because these individuals still are not rostered in 50% of fantasy leagues and these are my TOP 5 waiver adds. That won’t change just because I want to give you some fresh names.

  1. D’Onta Foreman (25% of FAAB) – Who knows whose backfield this is. It seems like a week-to-week proposition at this point, but Foreman looked fresh and powerful in his opportunities last week. He most closely profiles Derrick Henry from a physicality standpoint. While you can’t expect Henry-like production every week, this week’s as good of an opportunity as any with the lowly Texans on tap.
  2. Jamaal Williams RB (20% of FAAB) – Back below the 50% owned threshold, Williams is a serviceable flex option upon his return from injury. Make no mistake, this is D’Andre Swift’s backfield, but the Lions have enough RB touches to go around to feed two mouths. Williams hasn’t practiced yet but after missing two straight weeks, and not being placed on IR, one could conclude that he should be back this week.
  3. Rhamondre Stevenson RB (20% of FAAB) – His 2nd week on the list. If Damien Harris misses TNF, Stevenson becomes the no brainer #1 waiver add. However, concussions are impossible to predict so I would exercise caution until we know more. Stevenson’s a week winner when he has the backfield to himself but I think he’s done enough to earn a role regardless of Harris’ health.
  4. Cam Newton QB (15% of FAAB) – You know the drill here. If you need a QB, Cam’s can win you a league. He’s got a matchup against the 32nd ranked WSH def this week and they’re missing their best player. You heard the man, he’s “BAAAAAAAAACCCCKKKK!”
  5. Wayne Gallman RB (10% of FAAB) – A dart throw for the sake of dart throws. No WRs on the list this week, sorry PPR leagues. There’s just not much out there. I have nothing nice to say about Gallman other than he at least warrants a bid. It’s possible he gets most of the work over an ineffective Mike Davis. Worst case scenario, it’s a 50/50 split. Either way, it’s a less-than-desirable situation from a fantasy perspective but I understand times are desperate for some.
